SCEGGS Darlinghurst is an independent girls schools based in Darlinghurst, that caters to students ranging from Kindergarten through to Year 12. The school is currently seeking to appoint passionate sports coaches to work casually within the extensive co-curricular sporting program commencing in Term 3 2025.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Basketball coaches to join our coaching team at SCEGGS. In this role, you will deliver structured basketball sessions to both primary and secondary students. Training sessions typically take place on Tuesday afternoons in Term 4.

SCEGGS competes in the Saturday morning IPSHA and IGSA competitions which are typically played throughout Sydney between 8am and midday.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver session plans provided by the Head Coach with enthusiasm and professionalism

Conduct engaging training sessions that inspire and motivate students

Ability to demonstrate technical skills and provide instruction

Co-coach or lead teams during Saturday matches, providing constructive feedback and support

Assist with student trials and selection processes as needed

Promote sportsmanship, fair play, and respectful representation of the school at all times

Essential Requirements

Applicants are legally required to have a current Working with Children Check

Ability to work afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Passion for working with players of different ages and skill levels

Previous coaching experience with youth teams

Willingness to travel as needed

Strong knowledge of skills and drills in relevant sport
