Want to make a real difference by supporting young people impacted by the criminal justice system?
Our client is recruiting a new team member to join a dedicated group of professionals working to change the lives of young people caught up in the criminal justice system. As a caseworker, you'll provide culturally responsive, holistic support to young people (10–24 years) on an outreach basis.

This role will involve:
- Provide holistic, trauma-informed case management with an AOD focus
- Build strong relationships with government, community and other services
- Assess new referrals and complete intake processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files
- Deliver outreach support both pre- and post-release
- Provide practical and psychosocial support to meet identified client needs
- Facilitate access to long-term supports to reduce incarceration and recidivism
- Complete data collection, reporting and administrative tasks
- Monitor and uphold workplace health and safety requirements
- Work in culturally safe and appropriate ways, supporting First Nations young people and their families.
Requirements for this role include:
- Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- Minimum Cert IV in Community Services, Social Work or related field
- Experience in case management with young people facing complex needs (justice involvement, homelessness, AOD use, mental health, trauma)
- Skills and experience in trauma-informed care
- Cultural competency and understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities
- Current NSW Driver Licence, Working with Children Check and willingness to undergo a Police Check
