Eligibility/Other requirements:
Compliance Requirements / Qualifications
Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au)
Desirables
- Experience in an administration role.
- First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.
- Business qualifications or experience in a business or HR role.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of school specific software including Sentral, Kronos, or similar.
Highly Desirable
- Multilingual to support culturally and linguistically diverse community.
Notes: Strathnairn School is a new school opening in January 2026. We are looking for someone to commence immediately.

About ACT Education Directorate
The Directorate identifies education priorities and the development of strategies, policies and planning for improved learning outcomes through the 87 ACT Government schools. The Directorate also registers non government schools.
The Taskforce was established to examine how to improve assessment and support for children and young people in ACT public schools with learning difficulties. Key issues considered included students experiencing language disorders, comprehension and processing disorders, dyslexia-related issues and significant difficulties in general numeracy and literacy.
