The Alarms Corporation are seeking a confident and knowledgeable Security Technician to join our staff on a full-time basis, overseeing the installation and servicing of a wide range of systems throughout Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast. There will be opportunities to travel if interested.

Duties & responsibilities:

Visit sites to install CCTV, alarm, access control, and intercom systems, ensuring proper placement and functionality

Set up alarm monitoring services

Diagnose and repair security systems issues

Perform inspections and calibrations of smoke detectors, fire alarms, and heat sensors, testing them to ensure they meet safety standards

Set up and service fibre optic and telephone systems to support security infrastructure

Undertake routine testing of all security systems to ensure optimal performance

Walk customers through the operation and troubleshooting of their security systems

Ensure all installations comply with relevant standards and safety regulations

Experience & qualifications:

Prior experience in a similar position

Current Queensland driver’s license

Queensland Security License

Broad knowledge of alarm systems in general

Specific familiarity with Honeywell, Vista, Bosch, Tecom, Inner Range, Risco, and DAS (Hills) is advantageous

Experience with Dahua and/or HIK CCTV systems is desirable
