Due to growth and multiple new ongoing contracts our Sydney Fire Contracting Company is looking to employ 2 x Passive Fire Techs to join their business in a Field Service roles across all of Sydney Central Coast and Sydney Metro areas. Job Summary

Passive fire systems and fire rated treatments

Occassional installation of serviced penetrations and access panels

Testing & Audits

Reading specifications and interpreting plans for installation of new systems

Follow all WHS procedures

Demonstrate experience as a Passive Fire Technician or similar role.

Demonstrate knowledge of passive fire systems, including:

Fire-rated walls and fire compartments,

Fire- rated doors,

Fire Dampers,

and Passive Penetration Seals.

Demonstrate a basic understanding of Australian standards and regulations.

Demonstrate the ability to solve problems on the run.

Demonstrate clear and precise communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate a strong team player attitude with the ability to work autonomously at times.

Valid driver's license.

Industry or Trade Accreditation advantageous

About You:

Experience in the fire industry particularly across passive fire

Certificate III in Carpentry would be beneficial

Knowledge of the Australian Standards relevant to the fire protection industry

O/T Available

The ability to work un-supervised and self-manage stock and equipment necessary to carry out his or her duties.

A good understanding and working of Australian Standards (AS1670 and AS1851)

5 or more years working with the fire industry in a similar role.

Trade qualification as an Carpenter or Cert 2 or 3 in Fire Protection a must.

Have good presentation and work ethic.

Fully maintained vehicle.

Must have strong written and verbal English skills.

Must have local customer knowledge and geographical knowledge of Sydney metro area.

The Fire Technician will be working closely with clients on site and should enjoy interaction with clients.

You:

Will be currently working in a business with an established market history, our client requires a person who is "field orientated".

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop further within the company

This is a full-time role 38 hours a week with overtime adoc with an RDO monthly.
