Your next career opportunity
As a Research Fellow in Global Maternal Health, you'll spearhead vital research projects focused on maternal, sexual, and reproductive health in Indonesia. You'll have the opportunity to lead components of implementation research, conduct mixed-methods studies, and contribute to WHO clinical guidelines. This role offers you the chance to make a tangible impact on global health policies while developing your research and leadership skills in a supportive, values-driven environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct High-Quality Research: Lead research projects on maternal and reproductive health in Indonesia, focusing on areas such as adolescent contraception and caesarean section use.
  • Analyse and Disseminate Findings: Undertake data analysis using specialised software, author publications, and present at international conferences.
  • Collaborate and Mentor: Engage with global stakeholders, supervise students, and contribute to teaching in global public health.
  • Drive Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to capacity-building efforts, develop grant applications, and foster partnerships with key stakeholders.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a passionate public health researcher with a PhD, fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, and have extensive experience in maternal and reproductive health research in low- and middle-income countries, particularly Indonesia.

You should also:

  • Have a PhD in public health with at least 5 years of experience in maternal and reproductive health in low- and middle-income countries.
  • Be fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and have experience working with Indonesian health actors.
  • Possess strong skills in mixed-methods research design, data analysis using R and NVivo, and evidence synthesis.
  • Have a track record of peer-reviewed publications and experience in attracting research funding.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing multi-country research projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
