An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Scrub/Scout Theatre RN to work on a permanent full time basis in our Theatres department. Part time will also be considered.

Essential Criteria

Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA

Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience as a Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse in Perioperative Services.

Experience in Orthopaedics, Urology, Dental, ENT, Laparoscopic, Plastics, Gynae and general surgery.

The ability to work both independently and within a team structure.

Demonstrated understanding of current relevant guidelines, regulations and standards.

Understanding of the ACORN & National Standards.

Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

Candidates with a postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing will be highly regarded.

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; the ability to engage positively with all stakeholders

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration

At least 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area of their post-registration qualification; or

Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to work effectively in team environment & independently as required

Excellent time management skills and strong organisational skills

High attention to detail

Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety
