Senior Accountant – Business Services & Advisory

About the role

You’ll join a highly regarded Business & Private Client Advisory team, supporting a diverse client base including SMEs, family groups, not-for-profits, and international businesses. The role goes beyond compliance — you’ll have the chance to get involved in structuring, advisory, superannuation, wealth management, and transactional work.

You will:

Manage, develop, and administer your own client portfolio

Prepare and review complex tax returns, financial statements, BAS/IAS, and FBT returns

Provide coaching, guidance, and technical support to junior staff

Review client data, develop budgets, manage WIP, and bill clients

Identify opportunities to add value and contribute to business growth

Attend client meetings, assist with presentations, and support new client initiatives

What we’re looking for

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business Services within a professional practice

Degree qualified and nearly or fully CA/CPA qualified

Strong technical knowledge of tax, GST, accounting standards, and Corporations Act

Skilled in reviewing work and developing junior staff

Confident communicator with proven ability to manage client relationships

Experience with APS, Xero, MYOB, or Dext highly regarded

Mandarin language skills highly desirable
