Truck & Dog Drivers – Sunshine Coast & Brisbane

BTL Plant Hire is seeking reliable and Truck & Dog Drivers to operate heavy vehicle combinations for the safe and efficient transport of materials (gravel, sand, soil, construction products). You’ll drive a truck and dog, tip loads, and uphold road safety and load compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities

· Safely operate truck and dog trailer combinations in line with road laws and company policies.

· Transport and deliver bulk materials to and from various sites as scheduled.

· Operate tipping mechanisms to unload materials at designated locations.

· Complete daily pre-start checks and report routine maintenance needs.

· Maintain accurate paperwork as required.

· Ensure loads are correctly secured and comply with weight restrictions.

· Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and the team.

· Follow site safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.

· Keep the cab clean and in good condition (the truck will be washed for you).

Requirements

· Current and valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) licence.

· Proven experience driving truck and dog trailer combinations.

· Sound knowledge of road transport regulations and fatigue management.

· Ability to perform basic vehicle safety checks.

· Physically fit and able to climb in/out of trucks and perform manual tasks.

· Excellent time management and reliability.

· White Card (Construction Induction Card) .

Desirable

· Experience in civil construction or earthmoving projects.

· Familiarity with GPS or telematics systems.
