About the role

Carrara Family Practice is seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our team on a contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality mental health support to our patients in the Carrara, Queensland area. As a Psychologist at our practice, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals and families improve their overall wellbeing and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and developing personalised treatment plans for patients

Delivering evidence-based psychological therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), DBT etc to help patients manage a range of mental health conditions

Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring the confidentiality of all client information

Participating in regular supervision and professional development activities to stay abreast of industry best practices

What we're looking for

Fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Any experience working as a Psychologist, preferably in a primary care or community-based setting would be desirable.

There is a strong demand for ADHD assessment & able to see kids is again desirable.

Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based psychological interventions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with patients and colleagues

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for providing high-quality, patient-centred care
