SPOT Paediatrics is a passionate team of speech pathologists and occupational therapists based in Hove and operates throughout the southern area of Adelaide. Our team is excited to welcome a new team member, and we are on the lookout for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team!
Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate clinician who loves the work they do and is committed to implementing neuro-affirming practices. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in diverse roles, including in-clinic therapy, joint therapy sessions with speech pathologists for complex clients, capacity-building support in educational settings, as well as the opportunity to support 3 year old preschoolers in a small group and whole group level.
A Typical Day May Include but Not Limited To
Providing therapy and wholistic support for children in areas such as movement, regulation, sensory processing, self-care, sleep, and toileting
Carrying out functional assessments and completing Paediatric Functional Capacity Assessment Reports
Conducting in-clinic therapy with a full cupboard of resources and a large, shared resource room
Collaborating with speech pathologists for joint therapy sessions
Completing documentation (notes, reports, letters, NDIS documentation)
Managing a caseload with the flexibility to work from home during school holidays
Participating in regular team meetings and professional development sessions, often with coffees, lunches, or snacks
Our New Team Member Will Ideally Have
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor or Masters Degree)
OTA/AHPRA membership
Current Working with Children Check
Current NDIS Worker Check
Current driver's license
Current First Aid Certification
Ability to work in collaboration with team members
A commitment to self-leadership and continuous learning
