STT Mechanical Repairs are currently seeking applications from experienced Heavy Vehicle Truck and Trailer Technicians to join our expanding team. Full time and casual positions available. The successful applicant must have experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry and will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on trailers and Trucks to Company and DOT standards.

Minimum 1-2 years of heavy vehicle industry experience is required.

Duties

Preventative maintenance - fleet servicing on various trucks and trailers with safety as a top priority

Diagnose and carry out repairs

Perform general/routine welding and fabrication

Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with team members and clients

Skills and experience

Completion of a certificate program or experience in the industry is a must

Heavy Vehicle or equivalent certificate program completion is required

Valid drivers' licence

Welding or fabrication experience (preferred)

Forklift licence (advantage)

Wheel Alignment experience (advantage)

Must be able to

Operate machines, motor vehicles/trucks, hand tools and job specific equipment and tools

Demonstrate the ability to hear and accurately interpret mechanical, technical and business information in an environment subject to noise and vibrations

Have attention to detail with the ability to visually inspect small defects
