We're seeking applications from Electricians or Electrical Fitters who hold their Electrical License, and are interested and looking for an opportunity to expand their skillset and try something new!

Our client are a provider of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance services to automation equipment installed in medium and large warehouses and distribution centres. The great thing about this role, you DON'T need previous automation experience! They provide all the training!

All you need is a positive, can do attitude, strong intrapersonal skills as you will be on a customer site and the willingness to learn and develop your current skillset!

The Role
The (Electrical) Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing planned, unplanned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance, as well as inspections of automation equipment. This role ensures the seamless operation of the site and enhances customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily system audits.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical breakdown maintenance.
• Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies.
• Undertake mechanical and electrical repairs and component replacements.
• Generate reports for both internal and external stakeholders within agreed timelines.
• Compile monthly management reports for internal and external distribution.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize systems, collaborating closely with team members and other departments.
• Complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols.
• Ensure the site workshop is well-maintained, presentable, and clean.
• Adhere to Australian, as well as internal and external OH&S regulations.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in local, interstate, and overseas training and development opportunities.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications:

• Must hold Australian Electrical License
• Previous electrical experience, either domestic, residential, commercial or industrial - all ok!
• Previous experience maintaining on site equipment either within engineering, automation or manufacturing would be highly desirable.
• Experience with belts, conveyors, motors and gearboxes would be highly beneficial
• Hold valid driver’s license
• Desirable: Familiarity with programmable logic controls (PLCs), experience with automated equipment.
• Pre employment medical, D&A and police check to be completed for employment

What's in it for you?

• Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm with occassional opportunities to work overtime
• Salaried position: $95,000 - $105,000 p/a + Super
• Training and Development provided from Day 1 on company automation equipment.
