Nathan River Resources is the proud owner and operator of the Roper Bar Iron Ore Mine, located 50km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria and approximately 760km from Darwin. We take pride in our in-house mine, marine, and trans-shipment divisions, which manage a dedicated fleet of mine and marine assets supporting long-term operations.

We are currently seeking a Mobile Plant Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our growing maintenance team.

🔧 In this Role You Will

Maintain and support the availability of CAT machinery including:

980 & 982 Loaders

D8 Dozers

745 Articulated Trucks

140M Graders

259 Skid Steer

Service and repair pumps & ancillary equipment

Carry out breakdown repairs as required

Perform job inspections, task planning, JHAs, and maintenance documentation

✅ About You

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Cert III Mobile Plant (essential)

Cert II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology (desirable)

Experience with maintenance systems

High mechanical aptitude & strong fitting skills

Australian working rights

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screening
