About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Housekeeper / Home Assistant to support the smooth running of a busy household. The role is long-term and involves maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming home environment, as well as preparing simple family dinners on the days you work.

Key Responsibilities

General house cleaning (vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, dishes, dusting, etc.)

Laundry (washing, drying, folding, ironing, changing bed linen)

Meal preparation – simple family dinners on work days

Basic home cooking skills required for preparing simple family meals

General household organisation (tidying, decluttering, organising pantry, cleaning out fridge)

Occasional errands (e.g. grocery shopping, picking up household items)

Maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming home environment

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in housekeeping, domestic assistance, or a similar role (formal qualifications not required)

Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet

Organised and proactive with attention to detail

Comfortable around pets (2 dogs and a cat – no pet care required)

Able to work independently and manage time well

Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Requirements

Reliable transport and a valid drivers license(our house is not close to public transport)

Police check and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to commit to a long-term, ongoing role

Work Hours & Pay

Approx. 12 hours per week (3 × 4-hour shifts, ideally Mon/Wed/Fri – negotiable)
