Seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Washing Up Person to join our busy catering team at our Avoca Beach location. As a Washing Up Person, you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently by taking care of all dishwashing and cleaning duties. This is a casual position with flexibility in terms of hours and scheduling.

What you'll be doing

Thoroughly cleaning and sanitising all pots, pans, dishes, utensils and equipment used in food preparation

Loading and unloading the commercial dishwasher and hand-washing items as needed

Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas

Restocking clean items and supplies as required

Assisting the kitchen team with any other general cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar washing up or kitchen porter role, ideally in a fast-paced catering or hospitality environment

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work quickly and efficiently

A team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed

Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
