The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Cook to join our hospitality team. You’ll play a vital role in creating delicious, nutritious, and visually appealing meals for our residents.

You will:

Prepare, cook and bake meals to meet individual dietary, cultural, and medical needs

Assist the Head Chef with food service planning, stock control, and compliance

Collaborate with the team on seasonal menus and continuous improvement

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Kitchen Hands

Maintain a safe, hygienic kitchen environment in line with aged care and food safety standards

Interact with residents in a respectful, kind, and inclusive manner, supporting choice and independence

About You

Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Previous experience in an aged care kitchen environment

Strong baking skills (essential focus for this role)

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively

Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

Experience catering for residents with dementia and complex food requirements

Awards or recognition for cooking achievements
