About the role

We are looking for an experienced part-time Cook to join our kitchen team at Mary's Paddock in Box Hill, VIC 3128. As a Cook, you will be responsible for assisting our Head Chef in the production of high-quality, delicious meals, working weekdays only, 25 to 30 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes from our menu, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
• Assisting with menu planning and development, providing input on new dish ideas
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
• Providing support and guidance to kitchen staff as required
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to streamline kitchen operations and improve efficiency

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years' experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role within the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented kitchen
• Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals
