Your new role
Tasks within this position are inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Collaborating with complainants, care recipients, and service providers to identify concerns and explore resolution options.
- Handling incoming calls and navigating complex or sensitive conversations, adapting communication approaches to suit a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Assessing and interpreting information to identify, escalate, and manage risks within your caseload, seeking guidance when necessary.
- Maintaining accurate records, including the preparation of comprehensive reports, correspondence, and well-informed recommendations.
- Managing individual caseloads effectively while contributing to the broader goals and outcomes of the team.
- Performing additional duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed

- Proficient in managing time and priorities, thriving in high-pressure environments while ensuring timely and effective action on caseloads and competing demands.
- Skilled in identifying broader organisational and external influences that may affect team objectives and adjusting approaches accordingly.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills, with the ability to interpret legislation, make impartial decisions, and seek expert advice when necessary.
- Demonstrates cultural awareness and understanding, particularly in relation to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples' health, wellbeing, and lived experiences.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear, evidence-based recommendations and articulating sound reasoning for decision-makers.
- Effective and respectful communicator, able to engage sensitively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals and stakeholders.
- Insightful and responsive to emerging issues, with an understanding of how they may impact personal and team responsibilities.
Please note, this is an Affirmative Measures position, and we are only seeking professionals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
