About the Glengowrie Medical Complex (GMC)

Position Overview:

As an experienced Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the Glengowrie Medical Complex and its community of independent tenant providers.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Greeting patients with a warm and friendly demeanour.

· Efficiently managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations across a range of healthcare providers.

· Coordinating patient check-in and check-out procedures.

· Handling patient enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.

· Verifying patient details and processing billing and payments as required.

· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with provider requirements.

· Collaborating with a multidisciplinary community of tenant providers to support exceptional patient care.

· Assisting with administrative tasks and contributing to the overall smooth running of the complex.

Experience & Qualifications:

· Previous experience as a receptionist in a Primary Healthcare setting is required.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.

· Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail.

· Proficiency in medical software and computer applications – Best Practice Software, HotDOC & Cliniko preferred.

· Knowledge of medical billing and administrative procedures.

· Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.

· Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
