Our client is a vertically integrated mining and civil contractor delivering full-service operations across WA’s iron ore sector. With a growing mobile fleet at their Pilbara operation, they are now seeking an experienced Drill Fitter to support the servicing and maintenance of open-pit production drills in a busy, well-equipped site workshop.

About the Role:

As a site-based Drill Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring the availability and reliability of blast hole drill rigs used in daily production.

Equipment includes:

Terex / Reedrill SKSS blast hole drills

Caterpillar MD6310 drills

Additional support across heavy plant equipment if required

Key responsibilities:

Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on blast hole drill rigs

Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults

Conduct component change-outs and drill rig rebuilds as required

Work closely with the maintenance team to minimise downtime

Maintain accurate service records and defect reports

Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site standards

What We’re Looking For:

Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Plant Technician trade qualification

Minimum 5 years’ experience working on open-pit blast hole drills

Hands-on experience with Terex/Reedrill SKSS and/or CAT MD6310 drill rigs – Essential

Strong hydraulic, electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Current C Class driver’s licence

Able to pass full pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening

Available for FIFO mobilisation from Perth

What’s on Offer:

$90.00 - $110.00/hr + super on all hours worked
