Job Title: Payroll Assistance (Temp Contractor)
Rate: $40-45 + Super / Hour
Hours: 15 Hours per Week
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistance (Temp Contractor) to support our payroll function on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who can commit to 15 hours per week, with a particular focus on fortnightly payroll processing and month-end tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fortnightly Payroll Support (Approx. 80 Employees)
- Available every second Tuesday and Wednesday for payroll processing.
- Work with the outsourced payroll vendor to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Tuesday: Extract and review timesheets, gather payroll changes, and send required data to the vendor.
- Tuesday/Wednesday: Review processed payroll from the vendor, submit for manager approval, and once approved, send final payment file (target: Wednesday).
- Thursday: Liaise with vendor to ensure payroll release.
2. Month-End Payroll Tasks
- Payroll bank account mapping.
- Upload and reconcile General Ledger (GL) entries.
3. Other Payroll-Related Tasks (as required)
- Portable Long Service Leave (LSL) uploads.
- Payroll tax lodgements.
- Preparation of internal and external payroll reports.
About You
- Previous payroll experience (experience with outsourced payroll vendors highly regarded).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.
- Ability to commit to fixed days (Tuesday/Wednesday every fortnight).
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable with general accounting processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
