About your role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Hands + Rotational) at QEII Jubilee Hospital, you will play a key role in delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care while supporting the development of the Occupational Therapy service. This position offers the opportunity to apply advanced clinical judgment, mentor junior staff, and contribute to service innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver high-quality clinical services across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning and provide expert advice within the OT team.
- Supervise, support and mentor HP3 clinicians, students, and allied health assistants.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in weekend and after-hours rosters as required.
About you
You are an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about patient outcomes and team development.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
- High-level clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and discharge planning.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in supervising junior staff and students.
- Proven ability to contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
