About the role

To undertake general Catering duties to support the provision of high quality catering services. Work as part of the
catering services team and within the relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with meal dispatch and serving, general kitchen duties, stock-taking, and checking deliveries.
• Operating the POS system and handling daily reconciliations.
• Liaising with staff, residents, and visitors.
• Adhering to Food Safety and HACCP standards, as well as Southern Cross Care policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by reporting hazards and complying with WHS policies.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following;

• A Responsible Serving of Alcohol Certificate.
• Experience in meal preparation, delivery, and serving, as well as working within compliance requirements.
• Strong organisational, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
• A basic knowledge of Aged Care Standards applicable to the role.
• Desirable requirements include a relevant qualification in Health support services and/or Food safety.
