About this Opportunity
We are seeking for a reliable all-rounder Handyman (internally known as Facilities Officer) to ensure the ongoing maintenance and presentation of UQ Sport's fields and venues. This is a hands-on role within a small team to conduct reactive and preventative tasks in ensuring all facilities are remain safe, clean, and maintained to the highest standard.
Initially offered as a casual position with reliable hours, with possibility of permanent opportunity. If you are a residential maintenance or handyman looking for a more stable hours, this role is for you!
We are also welcome candidates who are looking to gain experiences in the sporting industry and are seeking for casual role with good hours for extra income.
In this role you will:
Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, periodic inspections, patching, and painting
Engage and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure facility maintenance needs are met
Assist the Facilities Manager to ensure tasks are completed in timely and professional manner
Carry out routine operations maintenance for aquatic centre and all sporting facilities
Be flexible to support tasks outside regular working hours, including evenings and weekends (only when required, very occasionally)
To be successful in the role you will have:

High level of interpersonal relationship and ability to communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders
Ability to work proactively and autonomously
A Class C driver's license
