About The Opportunity

South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is seeking a dynamic eLearning Developer to join our Education & Organisational Development Service (EODS) team. In this role, you’ll design and deliver engaging online learning experiences that support over 17,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical areas.
You’ll work closely with subject matter experts to transform complex healthcare content into interactive, accessible modules that enhance compliance, skills development, and patient care. This is your chance to contribute to high-quality education initiatives that make a real difference.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will lead the design and development of high-quality digital learning experiences that support the education and training of clinical and non-clinical staff across South Western Sydney Local Health District. Working closely with subject matter experts, you’ll transform complex healthcare content into interactive, accessible eLearning modules using tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate. Your work will directly contribute to improving staff capability, compliance, and patient care outcomes.
You will also play a key role in implementing and maintaining eLearning solutions within the district’s Learning Management System, ensuring content is SCORM-compliant and aligned with strategic education initiatives. By staying up to date with instructional design trends and technologies, you will help embed contemporary learning practices across the organisation. Collaboration, creativity, and a strong understanding of adult learning principles will be essential as you support the rollout of engaging digital education programs district-wide.

- Tertiary qualification or equivalent workplace experience in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Digital Media, Health Education, or willing to enrol in a tertiary qualification.
- Describe your experience designing and developing digital learning content using instructional design models and authoring tools.
- Provide an example of how you’ve collaborated with subject matter experts to create effective eLearning resources.
- Share a time when you managed multiple projects in a dynamic environment. How did you ensure deadlines were met while maintaining quality?
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
