The Opportunity This business has recently launched a dedicated Accounting division to complement its established financial advisory services. With over 400 new clients onboarded in the past year and a strong pipeline of referrals, the Senior Accountant (SMSF) role has been created to support the Accounting Manager in managing SMSF compliance, tax reporting, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare SMSF tax compliance, annual returns, and reporting obligations.
• Manage client relationships and act as the key contact for SMSF accounting and tax matters.
• Work closely with financial advisers to facilitate smooth client transitions.
• Ensure timely completion of financial statements, audits, and tax filings.
• Provide individual taxation services and SMSF tax advisory.
• Collaborate with offshore teams where appropriate.
• Stay across changes in superannuation legislation and tax policies.

About You

• CA/CPA qualified.
• Strong background in SMSF accounting, compliance, and tax advisory.
• Prior experience in a mid-tier or specialist SMSF firm is essential.
• Skilled at building trusted client relationships and retaining business.
• Commercially minded, proactive, and client-focused.
