About the Role
• Prepare food and beverages for sale to customers and complete cash sales.
• Clean and maintain the café including indoor/outdoor customer seating areas and all cooking/food preparation equipment in accordance with the Food Services Act.
• Operate all cooking and café equipment including coffee machine, deep fryer and cash register.
• Take orders for food from customers and deliver food in a timely manner.
• Maintain the highest standard of quality, food presentation, hygiene and safety in food preparation and cooking areas and the café seating areas in accordance with approved standards.

Skills & Experience
• Strong commitment to customer service
• Experience in food preparation in a commercial premises.
• Cash handling and experience in the operation of a multi function point of sale cash register.
• Experience in using basic commercial cooking equipment including deep fryer and coffee machine.
• A knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures in a café environment.
• Strong Food handling and presentation skills.
• Sound communication, problem solving and resolution skills • Bi-lingual skills an advantage.
• Food Handling Certificate an advantage
