About the role

We have a permanent full-time position for a Technical Officer to play a key role in supporting our Engineering Operations team through the delivery of our annual Service Plan, including scheduled maintenance and programmed construction works, ensuring a high standard of services to both internal and external customers.

A snapshot of your new role:

Preparation and planning of operational maintenance and construction programs of road reserve infrastructure, including road, drainage, kerb, footpath, bridge, carpark, street lighting, and street sweeping

Process/analyse/track Service Requests (Request Manager), including liaison with Supervisors to schedule work requests and responses to customers.

Assist Service Lead Engineering Operations with the preparation and delivery of the Annual Works Program and Annual Budgets.

Assist the Engineering Operations Team with contract management, including claim assessment, contract administration, variations, assessing contract delivery against key performance indicators and contract deliverables.

Work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment, developing and maintaining a high standard of services to both internal and external customers.

Who we’re looking for

Minimum qualification – Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Construction safety card (White card), with advanced understanding of safety practices and procedures, including experience and knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Current WA Class ‘C’ Drivers Licence

Ability to work both independently and as a part of a multi-disciplinary team

Well-developed written, verbal and speaking skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders

Knowledge and experience (minimum of five years) of road, drainage and footpath construction and maintenance

Good customer service skills

Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance (within 6 months validity).
