Lead RC Exploration on a High-Priority Gold Project

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing drilling contractor delivering high-quality Exploration, Waterwell, and Drill & Blast services to tier 1 and mid-tier miners across WA. With continued demand across key exploration projects, they are now seeking an experienced and self-sufficient RC Driller to lead a rig crew, operating Schramm and Explorac rigs in deep-hole gold exploration.

About the Role:

This is a field-based role requiring leadership, deep-hole RC experience, and the ability to run a rig autonomously in remote conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

Operate and maintain Schramm T685 and Atlas Copco Explorac 225 RC drill rigs

Set up and break down remote camps and drill sites as needed

Lead daily drilling operations and maintain compliance with safety standards

Achieve or exceed daily metre targets

Supervise and train offsiders, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards

Conduct pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and reporting

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience operating Schramm T685 rigs

Gold site experience – essential

Deep-hole drilling experience – essential

Auxiliary booster experience – essential

Atlas Copco Explorac 225 experience – essential

Working at Heights Certificate – current

First Aid Certificate – current

Valid HR Driver’s Licence – required

High level of physical fitness and field-readiness
