The opportunity

Our Construction team is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking and experienced individual to fill the position of Drainer. The role involves undertaking drainage work activities and supporting the drainage team in completing drainage works in a safe and efficient manner to agreed quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in trenching, pipe laying, basic leveling and pegging, backfilling and compaction operations.
  • Previous experience in a roadwork and drainage (construction and maintenance) environment.
  • Practical experience with plant and tools, including Excavator Certificate, Quick Cut Saw ticket and Dogman’s ticket.
  • Current unrestricted “HR” (Heavy Rigid) class national drivers’ licence.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

In addition to the above, the following will be highly regarded:

  • Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management (desirable)
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Completion of Year 10 Certificate (desirable)
  • Loader, Watercart and Roller experience, Accreditation (desirable)
