The role of our Support Workers and Employment Mentors varies, depending on the participants' individual goals and needs.

Support Workers

Safe transportation of participants to and from group activities/appointments/community engagements.

Group activities support – inclusive of 1:3 ratios.

Provide practical and emotional support to participants and their families.

Behavior management.

Helping with meal preparation.

Household chores.

Visiting allied health professionals.

Community Engagement.

Assisting participants to find work.

Support participants in the workplace.

Employment Mentors

The role of our Employment Mentors varies, depending on the participants' individual goals and needs. Ex Teachers, Teacher Aides and DES staff are encouraged to apply. The responsibilities of and Employment Mentor are:

Participant coaching and mentoring to build their capacity to find and maintain work.

Workplace Support.

Assisting participants to pursue their hobbies and interests.

Teaching life skills, inclusive of budgeting and paying bills.

Engage with Local community schools to build referrals.

Working inside NDIS contract guidelines.

Engaging with local employers to build community relationships and opportunities of employment for participants.

At times – liaise with DES providers to organize Wage Subsidies.

Liaise with job access to organize Supported Wage Subsidies.

Reporting for NDIS contracts

The successful applicants will be required to hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening clearance (Yellow Card), Working with Children Check (Blue Card), a National Criminal History Check, Current First Aid & CPR and provide their Right to Work in Australia documents.
