About the Role

The Physiotherapist (TCP) plays a vital role in evaluating patients' physical function, developing tailored treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to restore, maintain, and enhance independence.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, empower patients and families with education and self-care strategies, and promote overall health and wellness in a culturally safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical function (mobility, strength, coordination, balance).

Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based techniques (exercise programs, manual therapy, hydrotherapy).

Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and provide ongoing encouragement.

Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals (occupational therapists, rehabilitation staff, Aboriginal Health Workers).

Provide education to patients and families on recovery, prevention, and home exercise programs.

Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Ensure ethical, professional, and culturally respectful care.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

Current registration with AHPRA.

WA Driver's Licence.

National Police Clearance (within 3 months).

Vulnerable People's Check.

Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.

Australian citizenship required for this position.

Skills & Attributes

Experience working with First Nations people.

Previous experience working with First Nations people is an essential requirement for this role.

Prior clinical experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.

Minimum of 1-2 years clinical physiotherapy experience required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

Commitment to person-centred care and trauma-informed practice.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency in record management, data collection, and reporting.
