Our client is a privately owned principal building contractor that specialises in building high rise towers at the Gold Coast. With continuity of work offered by repeat clients they have 3 projects running at any time that are all funded by Tier 1 lenders. A close-knit team of experience Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction professionals have implemented sophisticated but nimble processes and systems to support the efficiency of each role.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a CA / CPA and degree qualified Junior Accountant. This is an autonomous role reporting to the company Director and based in the heart of the Gold Coast. You will be working in a Construction team on a live Construction site with the ability to work from home when required.

The responsibilities will include, but not limited to include:

Recording transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, handling payroll and superannuation, reconciling bank accounts, preparing BAS and other tax forms for the ATO, and assisting with financial reporting like balance sheets and cash flow statements.

About you

The successful individual will have circa 3 years experience in a similar role. You will be proactive, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to pick up things quickly.

It will be very beneficial to have worked within the construction industry, but not essential.

This person will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multitask with high attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, and exposure to JobPac/CHEOPS/Coins or similar systems is ideal.
