MAIN DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Work with complex power tools such as jackhammers and power drills when

required.

 Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to determine materials and

dimensions specified for the project.

 Measure and mark cutting lines on construction materials using pencil, chalk, and

scriber.

 Oversee construction of a building interior to ensure proper installation of windows,

frames, staircases, and doors.

 Work and maintaining knowledge of various construction materials among which

include wood, fiberglass, steel, and concrete.

 Shaping, cutting, and nailing wood and other materials to fit project specifics.

 Take measurements of distances and materials to establish the dimensions/size of a

structure.

 Install and assemble structure and fittings.

 Cut, shape, and smoothen the surface of materials using power saws and sanders.

 Ensure compliance with safety regulations to minimize risk of workplace accident.

SKILLS & EXPEREINCE:

Qualifications: Must have related qualifications in carpentry

White card required

Driver's license required

Experience: At least three years’ experience as a Carpenter

Skills: Must have good attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge in safety procedures and regulations.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Work safely at heights required

Good communication and presentation skills.
