About the Role:
The Records Officer is responsible for undertaking a range of administrative support duties which contribute to maintaining a secure, accurate and complete records management system that meets legislative and Council requirements.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
Reporting to the Senior Records Officer, responsibilities of this role include:
Contribute to the maintenance of Council’s records management system (electronic and hardcopy) in a manner that ensures availability, integrity and confidentiality of all corporate information.
Plan, prioritise and organise key responsibilities to meet required deadlines.
Maintain and comply with Council’s records management standards, practices, policies, procedures, manuals and registers.
Provide information, advice and guidance to staff across the organisation to ensure correct records management procedures are followed.
Provide support to the Information Services team on an ad hoc and ‘as needs’ basis, through undertaking a broad range of routine administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have:
To be successful in this role you will have:
Qualification or Accreditation in records management, desirable.
Experience in Local Government, preferably in Records Management, desirable.
Organisation skills, including planning, time management and prioritisation.
Proficiency in current Windows based computer systems, software applications and database input and maintenance.
Proficient in computerised applications, systems and web based technologies.

The position is offered as a full time, fixed term 12 month contract at General Officer Level 3 in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement within an annual salary range of $82,644 to $89,243 dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience.
