Get to know the Role:
Border Express currently has an opportunity available on our AM shift for an experienced and motivated Casual Parcel Sorter/Forklift Operator to join the team at our Geelong Branch.
This position is responsible for the loading, unloading and sorting of parcels into areas for delivery.
Hours: Monday to Friday 6:00AM to 10:00AM (casual role)
Pay rate: $34.96/hr + super (casual rate)
Duties:
Examine each parcel and allocate it into an appropriate area for delivery; Via Postcode, Destination, and Branch.
Ensure the manually load / unload of parcels from pallets is done safely following correct manual handling processes.
Complete and maintain parcel processing records and all documentation associated as required.
Communicate amongst your team and supervisors to meet agreed schedules, and escalate any issues in relation to processes, safety and operations.
Loading and unloading using a forklift.
Stacking/wrapping pallets.
Manual handling.
Skills and Experience:
LF Forklift Licence.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations.
Excellent attitude, a good work ethic and reliability.
Willingness to complete a Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical that includes a Drug and Alcohol Test.
