Registered Nurse, Ballina NSW

We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Residential Care team.

This role is varied with opportunities to delve deeper into areas of interest inherent within aged care, including dementia, wounds, palliative care etc.

This role would be required to work all shifts across the roster to cover leave, but we are open to considering either a permanent part time or a full time position.

The Opportunity

Competitive base salary: the full-time annual salary range is $90,000 - $113,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with applicable penalties and super on top

Salary packaging (up to $18,550 per annum) resulting in less tax and higher take home pay

Must be willing to work all shifts AM, PM, and Nights

Key Responsibilities

Deliver rewarding person-centred and best practice care to our residents and clients

Supervise staff in delivering care and non direct care services

Participate in resident admissions and ongoing assessments

Provide high quality palliative care as part of a multidisciplinary team, including collaborating with our visiting Palliative Care Specialist

Maintain responsibility for medication management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and participate in telehealth and case conferencing to achieve positive health outcomes

Maintain effective Infection Control practices

About You

Bachelor of Nursing

Current registration with APHRA

Experience level: Second Year RN to Experienced Registered Nurse

Clinically savvy with a strong contemporary focus for the needs of an older person

A passion for looking after Older People and commitment to providing a high standard of palliative and end of life care

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and stakeholders

Reliable, adaptable and accountable

Ability to consistently act with humility, integrity, respect, understanding

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning

Previous experience in Aged Care or other service industries are desirable, but not essential
