NexVentur is urgently recruiting Underground Utility Locators and Utility Surveyors for a busy and growing utility locating company in Perth. With a strong pipeline of Tier 1 projects, this role offers excellent pay, benefits, and career development in a supportive environment.

What’s on offer

💵 $5,000 sign-up bonus ($1,000 upfront + $4,000 on probation completion)

Competitive flat hourly rates (6am–6pm)

Double time for night and weekend works

Time and a half + allowances for regional/away work

6-monthly performance reviews + bonus (up to 2 weeks’ pay)

Role & Responsibilities

Use a cloud-based booking system to manage daily jobs

Travel directly from home to site or work from the yard when required

Perform locating and utility survey works independently or within a team

Operate vacuum excavation trailers for potholing and utilities exposure

Deliver a variety of projects: Tier 1 rail, council works, small jobs, design surveys, installations, and problem-solving assignments

Participate in rural/away projects (1 day to 2 weeks, with highly competitive away rates)

Uphold strong safety and quality standards at all times

Skills & Experience

Experience locating underground services and/or utility surveying

Familiarity with EM Locators and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Vacuum excavation knowledge

Strong computer literacy

Ability to read and interpret BYDA, client, and engineering plans

Civil construction knowledge an advantage

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Physically fit, motivated, and career-driven

Team player with the ability to also work independently

Safety- and client-focused mindset
