About your new role!
As Senior Manager Organisational Design, you will manage a small team to deliver organisational design and workforce planning projects, with a strong focus on the Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) branch. This role will ensure structures, accountabilities, and capabilities are aligned to enable efficiency, effectiveness and delivery of Sydney Trains’ objectives.
Key tasks for this role include:

• Leading design, review and implementation of organisational structures and operating models
• Providing advice on efficiency, agility and effectiveness of structures and redesigns
• Managing and supporting organisational design specialists (1 FTE and 1 part-time resource)
• Partnering with stakeholders across E&M to streamline and optimise structures
• Overseeing role descriptions, evaluations and job family alignment
• Supporting workforce transition planning using supply and demand modelling

About You!
We’re looking for someone with:

• Extensive experience in organisational design and workforce planning
• Demonstrated success leading organisational design programs within complex environments (E&M experience highly regarded)
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with senior leaders and SMEs
• Ability to balance multiple demands in a high-volume, high-complexity environment
• High-level analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications for the role include:

• Tertiary qualifications in HR, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of organisational design frameworks, job evaluation, and workforce planning principles

Pay: $950/day + Super
Hours: Up to 40 hours/week
Location: Sydney CBD | Hybrid: minimum 1 day per week onsite + site visits as required
