Role Summary:

• Position: Remedial Massage Therapist
• Location: Mermaid Beach & Ashmore clinics
• Type: Contract
• Salary: Competitive treatment rates based on experience
• Availability: Afternoons, evenings and weekends
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial consultations and assessments
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans
• Provide remedial massage therapy for muscle pain, mobility, flexibility, sports injuries and stress relief
• Maintain accurate client records and document progress
• Advise clients on stretching, strengthening, mobility and release techniques
• Ensure a clean, safe and comfortable therapy environment
• Stay updated with the latest techniques and best practices
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for integrated client care
• Manage client bookings and maintain a professional atmosphere
• Adhere to professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality
• Encourage and schedule follow-up appointments at the clinic's standard rebooking rate

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015) or equivalent qualification, or higher
• Current membership with a recognised professional association
• Valid provider number for health fund rebates
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics
• Proven experience in remedial massage therapy

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced training in Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, or Sports Massage
• Familiarity with clinical management software
• Experience in client education and exercise prescription
• Strong background in treating sports-related injuries
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a loyal client base
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Dry needling and cupping certificates (highly regarded but not essential)
