Position Mission

Sales and Reception duties to build and maintain a dedicated membership base by inspiring and motivating people to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Manage and handle all daily customer enquires, sales, local area marketing and operations of the club.

Essential requirements:

Must be available to work rostered days between Monday – Saturday

9am-1pm; Monday to Saturday

3:00pm - 7:30pm; Monday to Thursday

Must be a resident of Australia with working rights

1yr minimum experience in any sales and reception duties highly desirable

Previous experience in Sales and Reception duties are highly desirable

High level of interpersonal skills

Effective communication skills: high standard of writing, spelling, listening, speech and dictation, empathy and problem solving.

Basic maths

Microsoft Word and Excel

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with basic data entry capabilities

Use of Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok)

Friendly and outgoing personality

Must eliminate all wasteful time that does not contribute to membership growth

Must exhibit enthusiasm and commitment for the brand, the club, its members, and fellow employees

Must have a positive attitude towards the roster, placing the requirements of the club before their own

Must be patient, a courteous listener, willing to spend time and show a genuine interest in all staff, members and prospective members

Be able to assume a natural empathy with staff and clients

Must recognise the requirement for advancement through greater knowledge, and display a desire to learn and improve at every opportunity

Must display respect for the needs and skills of the staff members, by being always reliable, supportive, and responsible in all matters

Must contribute towards an environment of mutual cooperation amongst all the staff, fostering a positive teamwork approach

Must recognise that everyone on the staff team has an equal right to enjoy their job, treating others at all times as they would wish to be treated

Must at all times aim to over exceed all patrons service expectations eg; on a member asking if we have a water fountain we must respond with 'Certainly, would you like me to fill your bottle & bring it to you?' or similar

▪At all times adopt a 'can do' and 'will do it now' philosophy

Use the words 'certainly', 'definitely' and 'absolutely' often

Always attempt to pre-empt a member's requests eg. 'Would you like a locker for your bag?

Desirable (not essential) Skills required:

Experience in Health and Fitness industry

Experience in Marketing

Basic use of hand tools for gym equipment and facilities repair.

First Aid qualification

Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness

Personal Training experience
