About the role

Komstruct' is seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our team in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. This is a full-time position that will involve constructing and installing formwork for concrete structures on a range of commercial construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to determine formwork requirements

Measure, cut, and assemble wooden formwork components to specification

Install formwork accurately and securely on site

Dismantle and reuse formwork materials where possible

Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

Collaborate with the construction team to ensure efficient and timely project delivery

Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site

What we're looking for

Formal carpentry qualification (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Formwork Carpenter on commercial construction projects

Comprehensive knowledge of formwork design, construction, and installation techniques

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality outcomes

Ability to work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team
