About the Role
As an RN in the CCU, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with acute and complex cardiac conditions.
Your advanced clinical knowledge, critical decision-making skills, and ability to monitor patients using specialised cardiac technology will be key to ensuring safe and effective outcomes. You will work closely within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, contributing to both acute interventions and patient education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialised nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions in a high-acuity environment
- Perform advanced cardiac monitoring and respond rapidly to patient deterioration
- Administer cardiac medications and manage IV therapies in line with clinical protocols
- Participate in emergency situations and contribute to Code Blue/rapid response teams
- Collaborate with cardiologists and allied health teams to deliver holistic care
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery, and ongoing management
- Support continuous improvement, professional development, and best-practice standards

About You
You are a dedicated Registered Nurse with:
- Current AHPRA registration
- At least 2 years of experience in Coronary Care preferably - ICU or other critical care settings can also be considered
- Advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac nursing and patient monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
- A collaborative, team-focused approach with excellent communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and patient-centred care
