About the Role

As an RN in the CCU, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with acute and complex cardiac conditions.

Your advanced clinical knowledge, critical decision-making skills, and ability to monitor patients using specialised cardiac technology will be key to ensuring safe and effective outcomes. You will work closely within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, contributing to both acute interventions and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions in a high-acuity environment
• Perform advanced cardiac monitoring and respond rapidly to patient deterioration
• Administer cardiac medications and manage IV therapies in line with clinical protocols
• Participate in emergency situations and contribute to Code Blue/rapid response teams
• Collaborate with cardiologists and allied health teams to deliver holistic care
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery, and ongoing management
• Support continuous improvement, professional development, and best-practice standards

About You

You are a dedicated Registered Nurse with:

• Current AHPRA registration
• At least 2 years of experience in Coronary Care preferably - ICU or other critical care settings can also be considered
• Advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac nursing and patient monitoring
• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
• A collaborative, team-focused approach with excellent communication skills
• Commitment to professional growth and patient-centred care
