About the role

Jungle Zoo Early Learning Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma Qualified Early Educator to join our team in Whitsundays, QLD. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our early learning centre. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development and wellbeing of young children.

What you'll be doing

Implementing engaging, play-based learning programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework

Observing and documenting children's progress to inform individualised learning plans

Fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment that supports the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children

Maintaining effective communication with families and collaborating with the wider team

Ensuring a safe, clean and well-organised learning environment

Actively participating in professional development opportunities to continuously improve practice

What we're looking for

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification

Demonstrated experience working as an Early Childhood Educator, preferably in a long day care setting

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator is required

Strong understanding of early childhood development and pedagogy

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to providing high-quality care and education

Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications

All required certifications must be current at the time of application

Working with Children Check (or equivalent) and National Police Check

Applicants of any Australian work authorisation status will be considered
