Workshop / Service Supervisor

Our market-leading client in the trailer and transport equipment industry. They are seeking an experienced Workshop / Service Supervisor to lead their busy service and repair operations.
About the Role

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day workshop activities, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality repair and service standards, and excellent customer support. You’ll play a key part in aftersales service, warranty repairs, and coordinating technical support while mentoring and managing a skilled workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise workshop staff in trailer service, repair, and modifications
• Oversee job scheduling, workflow, and ensure timely completion of repairs
• Diagnose and perform hands-on repairs (mechanical, structural, brakes, hydraulics, chassis)
• Act as first point of contact for customer bookings, updates, and trailer handovers
• Assess and process warranty claims in line with company policies
• Coordinate with internal teams on parts, procurement, and warranty trends
• Maintain workshop safety, compliance, and efficiency
• Mentor and develop team members, supporting training and recruitment

About You

• Trade qualifications (or equivalent hands-on heavy vehicle / trailer repair experience)
• Proven leadership and team supervision skills
• Solid technical knowledge across mechanical, hydraulic, and structural trailer systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workflow
• Understanding of WHS and workplace compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
