P&O Food Group is seeking an experienced Storeperson / Fork Lift and HR Truck Driver for work at our Preston warehouse. We are a family owned and operated gourmet food ingredient importer based in Melbourne. We source and purchase high quality products from accredited suppliers from all over the world and distribute them to food manufacturers, food service and food wholesale customers in Australia.

Our company is growing quickly and we are currently searching for a reliable and efficient person to fill a Store person / Forklift operator and HR Manual Truck Driver role. You will be self motivated, adaptable and efficient hands on person with a positive ‘can do’ mentality and a willing to learn attitude. This is a casual full time role Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30 pm and an attractive salary for the right candidate with the potential to grow.

Your responsibilities:

This full time position involves general store man duties ie: picking & packing customer orders on day-to-day basis - both Hand Pick & Forklift Picking of Orders. You will also be required to drive our truck for local deliveries within Melbourne Metro area (Heavy Rigid Manual Truck License required) and If you have worked in a food industry/warehouse before, consider yourself physically fit to work in a warehouse environment, and have forklift experience, this position could be for you. This is a casual position with potential to go permanent.

This is a full time role Monday to Friday reporting into the General Manager.

Your responsibilities:

Picking and packing products on pallets ready for delivery to customers

Using forklift to load pallets

Driving 14 pallet truck and delivering across Melbourne Metro Area.

Loading and unloading trucks and containers

Attaching correct location stickers on orders

Pallet control management.

Assisting in stock take where required.

Paperwork and documentation

General cleaning & housekeeping duties as required.

Requirements

Current HR Manual License (required) , 2 years minimum HR manual experience desirable.

Current forklift license (required). 5 years minimum forklift experience desirable.

Ability to lift cartons to 25 kilos capacity and stack onto pallets

Have prior experience working in a busy fast moving warehouse environment.

Strong clear verbal and written communication skills

Safe working practices
