About the opportunity

Southern Cross University’s Future Students and Outreach work unit is seeking a Future Students Officer to lead key recruitment initiatives on campus and in surrounding communities to support domestic student growth through strategic promotion and relationship building. With a focus on high schools in the Gold Coast region and beyond, you will use data insights to plan activities and resources driving improved conversion outcomes. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and deliver regional student recruitment initiatives, to raise brand awareness and promote study opportunities across schools, colleges, and RTOs
  • Develop and implement a data-informed regional engagement plan in consultation with the Manager of Future Students & Outreach analysing performance outcomes and adjusting strategies to align with recruitment targets and market share goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as School Principals, career Advisors and guidance officers, fostering engagement that enhances the University’s reputation and supports increased student enrolments
  • Manage accurate lead capture and reporting through CRM systems, ensuring timely updates, analysis of trends, and achievement of recruitment KPIs
  • Support and collaborate across internal teams including Marketing, Partnerships, Outreach, and Student Ambassadors to deliver high-quality campaigns, events, and school engagement activities that align with strategic objectives
About you

You are a proactive and relationship focused professional with strong communication skills, you are a proven presenter and have a data-informed mindset, and a passion for student engagement and educational outreach. More specifically, you will have:

  • A degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline, combined with experience in a sales related role or equivalent
  • Proven experience in recruitment, business development, or a client-facing sales role
  • Demonstrated success using data and analytics to inform sales strategies and achieve high conversion rates
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders to promote the organisation and enhance its brand image
  • Strong computing skills and experience using CRM systems and other reporting and communication tools, with a collaborative, energetic, and team-focused approach.
Salary and benefits

Our staff benefit from flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work models, generous parental and carer’s leave provisions, wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance programs and professional learning opportunities. This position is:

  • Full-time, continuing (permanent)
  • Located at Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Generous relocation support available.
  • HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $92,719 - $101,691 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $118,978.
