Leaning Tree Steiner School is seeking a passionate and versatile Science Specialist/Generalist Teacher to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate science and integrated lessons across both Primary and Middle School classrooms.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a warm, inclusive team dedicated to educating the whole child, head, heart, and hands, through Steiner pedagogy and hands-on, experiential learning.

About the Role:

Working 0.6 FTE (3 days per week), the successful applicant will teach a combination of Primary and Middle School science and may also support general classroom teaching or other integrated learning areas. You will be part of a small, supportive staff community and contribute to a dynamic, child-centred learning environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has a strong passion for science and holistic education

Brings creativity and flexibility to their teaching practice

Can differentiate for a range of learning needs and age levels

Is collaborative, reflective, and engaged in professional growth

Understands or is open to learning about Steiner/Waldorf education

Essential Criteria:

Current TRBWA registration (or eligibility)

Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Experience teaching science in primary and/or middle school contexts

Australian residency or valid work rights

Desirable:

Steiner/Waldorf teacher training or classroom experience

Familiarity with the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework (ASCF)

Skills in practical, hands-on science and environmental education

Capacity to teach or assist in other learning areas (e.g. maths, integrated studies)
