We are currently looking for an enthusiastic "people person" with a can-do attitude to join our equipment hire team in our Glen Iris yard.

This position involves driving a small truck (drivable on an automatic car license) to deliver equipment to and from our customers' work sites, primarily builders and trades.

Experience with equipment and transport is not essential - all training will be provided for a candidate willing and able to learn.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong customer service ethic and problem solving ability. This role will suit someone with an interest in machines who enjoys being sociable but is capable of working independently.

The role:

Based in our Glen Iris branch, in this key role you be responsible for providing friendly customer service while safely and efficiently delivering equipment to and from customers' sites, directed by the transport manager. Hiredepot vehicles can be driven on a regular car license.

Additional duties/responsibilities include:

Providing instruction/demonstrations to customers to ensure safe use of equipment without damage to persons or the equipment itself

Basic care of company vehicle

Building and maintaining relationships/rapport with Hiredepot's key customers as the face of the business on site

Safe loading/unloading/restraint of loads on/off of Hiredepot vehicles

Completing all delivery/collection tickets with utmost accuracy using software provided

Occasionally assisting with customer service and yard maintenance if and as required

All requisite training will be provided for an applicant willing and able to learn

About you:

You have a current valid Australian driver’s license with a clean driving record

You are punctual and reliable

You are capable of physical work

You have a positive, can-do attitude towards customer service

You have a strong work ethic

You can demonstrate attention to detail

You are eager to learn

Additionally, the following qualities will be viewed favorably:

Experience/interest in any of machines/tools/trades

Ability to drive manual vehicle
